Walks of Life

'Walks of Life' is a collection of work inspired by life's journey undertaken by us in various walks, at various stages, at various turning points of life. Some walk towards a brighter future, while some walk away from a bitter past. Each frame have both these perspectives. It's up to you, the viewer to see...which journey you fit in.

"Footprints in the Sand"

"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
~
Ralph Waldo Emerson

"The Broken Pier"

Acrylic on canvas 24x30 inches
(First exhibited in State Art Gallery, Hyderabad in May 2015)

There's always a way ahead and so also an edge to fall over. Step with care, don't lose direction...and you'll reach the destination.

"...And She Walks"

Acrylic on canvas 24x30 inches

A day of hard toil... this day is done but what of tomorrow? No time to ponder, for there's a child that awaits, parched lips that thirsts, a meal to be cooked. Chin up, burden balanced above her, she takes a deep breath...and then she walks...

"In the Still of Night"

Acrylic on canvas 24x30 inches
(First exhibited in State Art Gallery, Hyderabad in May 2015)

Mysteries of the night. Haven't we all walked this path! The fearsome creatures of childhood fantasies, the honey dripped dreams of young couples in love, the black thoughts of a broken heart...they all take shape, in the still of night...
